Welcoming the Community to Our Community Fair
We had a really successful Community Fair again this year.
We welcomed groups form our local community including:
- Wood Street Mission
- United Living
- Islington Mill
- Salford Library Service
- Salford Foundation
This was all alongside our own stalls:
- Sweet Treats Tombola
- Gift Bag Tombola
- Chocolate Raffle
- Play Your Cards Right
- Sparkle Group
- Cake Stall
We were also serenaded by our amazing musicians who go to after school club. They played some brilliant rock tunes on guitars, ukulele and drums. What a fantastic sound they made!
We also welcomed the church team who managed to get Miss Kinch in the stocks - amazing throwing from the children!
We had some great comments from our guests:
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending St Philips C of E summer fair, and what a fantastic event it was, great turnout and loads of interest in our United Living stall. Well done to the headmistress Miss Kinch and her team for hosting a great day. (Diane Sedden, United Living)
thank you for this Miss Kinch. . . we actually love working with your school! We will be in touch in September about another reading roadshow . . . . and will be dropping off some reading scheme books for you in the next week. (Amanda Crosson, Wood Street Mission)
We are planning to raffle a bike in aid of Wood Street Mission over the next 2 weeks to raise money for the amazing work that Wood Street do for the families in and around or school and city. Please come and support this.
