Our Health Week Diary

Monday, 24th June

We had a brilliant day today!

Key Stage 2 had the opportunity to learn a new skill of Archery. Lots of children were budding Robin Hoods - ready to take on the challenge of firing arrows at the target - Going for Gold!

Year 2 visited Clifton Country Park to try out the Orienteering Challenge - and a challenge it was! They tested their mapping skills to find the orienteering points as well as searching for different wildlife.

Tuesday, 25th June - Race 4 Life

This is one of our favourite events for Health Week where we get the chance to raise money for Cancer Research - a charity that is very close to all our hearts.

We love to welcome the children's families to come along and join us and - despite the weather - every class had the opportunity to run and raise money!

We are so proud of what we achieved today!

Wednesday, 26th June

Today we had the opportunity to play Quidditch - a game that we enjoyed last year and have brought back this year.

The children in each class were all sorted by the Sorting Hat and our captains led our teams brilliantly!

The winners this year are team Griffindor!

Thursday, 27th June

The rest of school had the chance to try out Orienteering today as well as venture out with the Salford Ranger Team at Peel Park.

Year 1 and Reception children really enjoyed the opportunity of returning to Peel Park to explore the park that is right on our doorstep. We had lovely weather and a great time!

Friday, 28th June - Sports Day

Our annual Sports Day - on one of the hottest days of the year!

We had a great morning doing our races and encouraging the teachers and our parents to take part.

We had a great time working in our teams to carry out the sporting activities!

This year our sports day winners are the Blue Team - Congratulations and well done to everybody!
