Bags of Hope

This year we celebrated Harvest with a very different collection. We wanted to support the Bags of Hope project that is run by the team at St Philips Church. 

Bags of Hope is a project that supports people in our local community who are vulnerable and may not have access to essential things that we might take for granted. The bags contain these items. For example, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, underwear, socks and much more. 

This year our Harvest collection was full of these kinds of items so that St Philip's staff can continue their fantastic work and support for people who live in our community. You can read more on the church website or click on the link on the left hand side of this page to see how you can help. 

Many thanks go out to our amazing families who supported this very worthwhile cause that is so close to our hearts. The food donations that were given will be sent to the Salford Foodbank and our Bags of Hope donations are already being used!

Bags of Hope is a simple idea to bless Manchester, Salford and beyond, bringing hope in unexpected places and help make a practical difference to someone’s life. Your workplace, school or friendship group can become an unexpected place of hope to people experiencing brokenness or poverty in these four different areas:

Asylum seekers | Vulnerable women | The homeless | Deprived local communities

REFILL STATION

To refill your Bag of Hope please visit our refill station at Saint Philips Church, Wilton Place, Salford, M3 6FR on Tuesday’s between 1-2pm.

You can contact us on 0161 8399709 if you want to check availability before you visit and make sure someone is there to make you a brew too!
